HIP – Hospitality Innovation Planet 2022 closed its sixth edition fulfilling its record forecasts. A total of 34.857 professionals from the hotel and restaurant industry passed through IFEMA MADRID on 7, 8 and 9 March.
HIP has positioned itself as a reference in hospitality and innovation thanks to its commitment since its first edition to offer the latest trends that impact the world hospitality industry. This year 512 exhibiting firms presented their latest contributions in food and beverages, equipment, interior design and furniture, technology, new concepts and franchises, delivery, safety and hygiene, etc.
In total, three pavilions and more than 40,000 m2 of innovation in hospitality by leading firms such as Benfood, Campofrío, CaixaBank, Coca-Cola, Danone, Deliverect, Deloitte, Estrella Galicia, Fritermia, General Fruit, Heineken, Ilunion, Makro, Mahou San Miguel, Mapal Software, Nestlé Professional, Oms y Viñas, Onnera Contract, Panamar Bakery Group, Pascual, Pescanova, Proquimia, The Fork, Barcelona Culinary Hub, or Unilever, among many others.
Horeca New Business Models Awards 2022
To put the final touch to the three days of HIP, the Horeca New Business Models Awards 2022 was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Madrid. With these, HIP aims to recognize the work, leadership and transformation of those companies that are committed to innovation.
For the sixth edition of the awards, more than 227 nominations were submitted, ranging from new and disruptive concepts and business models to the latest in products and services.
DynamEat was the winner for the Technology Innovation Award. This outstanding category is aimed at digital or technological projects or solutions that look for improving management, operations, marketing or customer experience in the hospitality industry.
Our company competed with two strong candidacies such as Foodcoin, which within the crypto world, offers a system that aspires to become the ‘bank’ of the hospitality industry and that allows to create a loyalty system by and for the sector; and Velada, which puts a click away in its app a variety of gastronomic guides for users.
Other winners of the edition were Mahou’s WeBAR project in the category of People, Product, Planet; the Food Hall of Galería Canalejas in New Business Model; Cuartel del Mar promoted by Azotea Grupo in Design and Experience; Pudu Delivery Solution in Product Innovation; and Rentastic in Business Development.
